Mata Becomes Head Coach of Royal Never Give Up

Former League of Legends T1 squad player Cho Mata Xie Yong will continue his career at the Royal Never Give Up Chinese club – he will replace Chu Steak Lu Xi as head coach. This was announced by the organization’s leadership on the official website at Weibo. Where Steak will continue his career is unknown.

On December 15, Mata officially announced the end of his gaming career and his departure from T1. Together with the team, he took 3-4th place at the 2019 World Championship. Mata has been on the professional stage of League of Legends since 2013. In the past, esportsmen represented Royal Never Give Up, KT Rolster, T1 and Samsung White, in which they won the 2014 World Championship. He was the last of the champion five who continued to compete in tournaments.
